POW WOW DANCERS

This month is American Indian Heritage Month, and I had the opportunity to see Native Pride Dancers at Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian. There was a demonstration of different pow wow dances, and the audience was able to join in the dance after.
Below the Native Pride Dancers video clip are photos from the Thunderbird American Indian Mid-Summer Pow Wow photos (2012-2014.) at Queens County Farm Museum, and video and photos from Celebration of Indigenous Lenape Culture at The Paterson Great Falls National Park and The Paterson Museum. video to the right is from Arlan Whitebreat explaining the importance of the pow wow.
